Born in Lithuania and raised with a love for nature, the connection that Odeta feels on the yoga mat is similar to the connection that she feels with the earth around her. As a result, she strives to blend physicality and spirituality into her classes. Specializing in alignment-based yoga, her classes emphasize both breath-driven movement and an understanding of body mechanics. She believes that through our physical yoga practice, we can expand and reshape our inner world as well as the world around us.
Students love the way she uses wry humor to help them bump up against their edges and grow. As Henry Ford said, “if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”
Odeta completed her 200-hour training at Reflections Yoga with Paula Tursi and Peter Kaaberbol and 500-hour training at DIG Yoga with Sue Elkind and Naime Jezzeny. As a supplement to these trainings, she studies regularly with her mentor Allison Kane.
